The aim of the Wild Roses Lady Riders is to promote a positive image towards female motorcyclists and to help women become motorcyclists.
For some women that may be coming back to motorcycling after a long break due to bringing up children, this can, at times be a little daunting for some due to the increase of traffic on the roads and the motorcycles being more advanced to the ones they may have been riding over 20years ago. We are there to help them gain the confidence.
Some ladies feel that they need to be out riding with others due to lack of confidence, again we can help them.
During the summer months many of the members meet up as often as possible to go for extra ride outs, therefore making the most of the good weather.
We do not close the club down for the winter months, we try to get out on the bikes as often as the weather permits us. Although on many occasions we have to arrange a ride out at the last minute, on the day!
We hold two social events a year, the March event is the ‘Springboard’ which is a combination of an organised ride out during the day then a party in the evening.
The second event is our ‘End of Summer Garden Party’; this is our annual anniversary party.
At one of these events we shall fundraise for our chosen charity the ‘Starlight Children’s Foundation’.
We have however raised funds for other charities.
The club is about meeting more like minded women and promote our choice of recreation.
We welcome trike riders too.
